i love that sara randomly comments here. I miss sara. and she love BSG and the EJO. therefore sara wins!

yeah so it's been a while AGAIN.

i have since gotten my wisdom teeth removed. it went pretty well and i did it on a thursday so i had a long weekend to recover. But once Monday came and I had to go to work, my body rebelled. My antibiotic made me ill on Monday. and on Tuesday I skipped meds and got dizzy anyways. Then had to amend our taxes which made the afternoon worse. My boss made me leave early both days. So that was nice. I am feeling better now though. Especialy after this bottle of margaritas.

back to the important shit. BSG has been goooood. The office was enjoyable as usual. I like Angela more and more each episode.

To Mark: my extraction was partially covered by insurance... which was surprising cuz I wasn't expecting any of it to be. I have no idea what my plan covers haha. SO that was cool. I ended up paying a copay the day of the procedure though, but it was tolerable.

I also joined livejournal JUST so I could comment at ONTD. The commenters there are much cleverer than the peeps at dlisted. I know it's sad, but I value my gossip/celeb entertainment.

and i'm totally watching the tmnt (cgi version) on hbo family. i dunno for how much longer though. i really wish it was the original or even the vanilla ice version. go ninja, go ninja go!

so tuesday was my thirtieth birthday. i don't really have anything brilliant to tell, but i did have a good time thanks to some lovely peeps from work. i mean any time you get to stick umbrellas in your head must have been good right.

it's st. patrick's week here in the sav which is sort of a big deal. i don't know if i'll necessarily do anything but i'll definitely head out to the rugby tournament this weekend to check out some butts and buy a teeshirt. yuk yuk!

bahaha. i have forgotten to come to my own blog at this point. good times! but the weekend was wacky!

martin is back in town for a while so we went out.

then i thought i lost my cat but she was just hiding out.

then i thought i lost my wedding ring but after i cleaned my room found it was in my jeans.

then i watched grindhouse: death proof again. i really love kurt russell. and i really like this movie. i ended up buying the soundtrack on itunes.

there were awesome movies on all weekend so i watched captain ron (kurt russell!), the lost boys, pan's labyrinth, and secret of my success (twice!). i love that era m.j. fox as well.

and last night big trouble in little china was on (guess who again!).

have been working out consistently for a month. i'm being really good.

and currently working on a skirt from an izod jacket i took apart. hopefully it turns out. we will see!

I've been meaning to share this for a while. but John has a fairly new camera and shiny new flickr account which means more pictures of the pets and animals in our lives... among other things. Yay!

I got a sewing machine over the holidays. SO I have been playing the at-home version of Project Runway! I completed my first project which was this Built by Wendy jacket. I took some liberties towards the end because I didn't fully understand the directions at a point and kind of just did it my way to finish it off. I want to attempt it again at some point with a more nautical scheme. I just made it in black but also lined with a retro-ish print. I need to get better pictures of it though for show-n-tell so stay tuned possibly for that.

I am also obsessed as of yesterday with operation clambake and the insanity of L. Ron Hubbard and scientology. What a bunch of nuts! But then there's also the softer sensitive side.

Um what? It IS hysterical though. And the fact that each and every instance of it keeps getting pulled from youtube is the icing on the cake.

merry christmas e'erybody. the festive holiday image below is brought to you again by the marc jacons store in downtown savannah. this is the same swan that martin and i got in for the picture even further below. the thing was... when we did it, it was a weekday and they only did the professional looking pics on the weekends. so we were sorely disappointed. but i was obsessed with getting the fancy one so i made julie come with me on the last chance day to do it. i am glad we did! i wish they had shown more of the swan and my bright green tights sticking out of it. for shame!

things weren't so bad up until last week. with work and all. i'm starting to feel the stress come weighing down... cuz EVERYBODY is asking for EVERYTHING. and i'm having problems with creativity on some recent projects. i am excited however by the current homepage if you haven't seen it yet (you have 'til sunday)... inspired by a page in the current house catalog.

i have had some welcome distractions:

of course there was paul's visit.

then martin! came down for a visit last week and we spent some quality time together.

thanksgiving was nice. deviled eggs are pretty much are the highlight of any holiday.

and that weekend, best buy had a killer deal on a digital slr package. so i totally snapped it up for work.. for which they reimbursed me promptly. but the best part for now is i have made myself the keeper of the camera (you know it). so i bring it home and make sure it sleeps well at night. i'm excited about using and learning it, but i haven't got to do much of that yet. the company holiday party is next week so i'll definitely be using it then. so i can never get fired otherwise i'll have to leave it and buy my own. god no!

christmas is coming and i haven't thought of it at all. bleargh!

i'm going to pass on answering the after hours phones this year for work. i'd rather drink.

shout out to luke. he entertained me on my drive home tonight.

paul was here this weekend! so of course i took him to king's inn for karaoke and i chose this photo as the epitome of the visit. i'll post some killer shots of paul singing on flickr. he posted a hysterical video of some of us singing with some special touch editing. as always with paul, i had a great time. brother paul rules!

although i am enjoying grilling shishkabobs with my huzz, i still wish we had a halloween party to get dressed up and go to and get drunk and be dumb. that's always fun too. :) so i'm in my second "costume" which is basically my dunder mifflin fun run shirt. i just love it.

I was working up to making it another month between posts, but decided there was crap to report. well, maybe. I meant to update on the rest of my vacation two weeks ago, but got distracted. I enjoyed myself immensely and will try to go home more often. I forgot how cool it kind of is there. Spent some time with the familia. Did lots of shopping and eating. All usual activites I do on any vacation.

I've since become a crackhead for the following shows: Weeds, Dexter, Heroes. I went against advice not to watch Heroes if I didn't want to get hooked, and yeah I got hooked. I watched thriteen hours of it last weekend on Netflix and now we're out of time and I have four episodes to go. I find myself doing whatever I can to get a hold of episodes I have not seen... except for selling my body. It's like crack I tell you! CRRRRACK!

It's been a while, so I karaoked last Friday and nailed Buffalo Stance. Then later murdered Xanadu (way! out of my range) since John plays it at home all the time. It was awesome. I couldn't stop laughing. And it inspired me to create this terrifying image.

Which makes me laugh some more. Just in case you were wondering what I'd look like as a blond white woman from space. With what's in my closet now, I think I may go as a en extra/reject from the set of Xanadu. Which would only be necessary if I go out Saturday night... which I guess I'll have to do just to dress up for Halloween.

I'll keep you posted. Well, maybe.

oooh wee! i just ate some strong ass bread and butter pickles my aunt made.

i'm currently on vacation visiting ye olde stomping grounds of my mom's house. got to st louis yesterday and have been going non stop so far. i'm currently taking a beer break and eating my mom's chili til i vomit. mmm.

im kind of too tired to type out days 1 and 2 so far so i will copy and paste from an email to fanny:

having a good time here. yesterday i pooped myself out. since i had a six am flight i was up at 330 am. and once i got here we went to the galleria so i could go to apple and h&m.

then we stopped by a school wehre her friend is the principal so he could meet me then we went home. i then took the ccar and drove out past my high school poking around.

then checked out downtown belleville wich they are recostructing all over the place making it look really nice and historic looking. kind of like savannah or any historic kind of littlle town you know i guess. i think like octoberfest was going on down there today.

then i made the rounds at marshalls, tjmaxx, shoe carnival etc. im always amazed at how much this place has changed and continues to change. there is shit everywhere. they are building another target closer to my moms house.

i went with my mom to school this morning and hung out for a little bit. then i left and did a little more shopping. just so i wouldnt regret not going, i went to at least one thrift shop so far. check out the salvation army downtown b'ville and found a killer new belt and country shirt which is xl but i'm cinching it with the belt haha. good times.

i also drove out to collinsville and left a note at the police dept where my friend luke tillman works. hopefully he will call me or something. i haven't seen him in over 10 years.

then i went back to mom's school. it was so flipping funny dude. my mom introduces me to all her teacher pals and they are just thrilled to see ya. and then the kids are all interested in me and her class today played some funny ass version of deal or no deal with reading comprehension questions about this book she is reading with them called... get this... KEYSHA'S DRAMA...!!! hahah it is the funniest shit ever.

so now just chilling at home again. having a beer cuz it's happy hour.

i'm in pittsburgh again... where the allegheny meets the monongahela; the land of a thousand bridges or something; where andy warhol did some stuff; where heinz ketchup is squeezed; and there's this thing with steel or the like.

at least for the early part of the day. Flew in yesterday had roughly a 20 hour day. Had to get up at 4am for a 6am flight and do press checks until 1 or 2am this morning. hoi polloi! after we wrap it up here in an hour or so, it's back home where i should have an ipod waiting for me at the door. but jenn, you say, that's so materialistic and crap... didn't you miss your husband and pets and stuff? yeah but they don't play episodes of the office on their faces so it's a toss up. and i need a nap.

shit i think i sang killer queen too last week. or was that the time before that? i dunno. ah well, julie called today and offered me the opportunity to be on trading spaces with her and tadd but i can't miss work due to the catalog! dammit! it's like a three day commitment. how funny would that have been. i would totally have done it at another time. blargh!

im looking feverishly for music to run to but end up getting random stuff i like... whether it's joggable or not. i wish i could find the album version of george micheal's "papa was a rolling stone," but all i can find is the live version. granted it sounds really good live but i want the juiced up fake shit.* too bad george is always getting wasted and passing out at the wheel. he has a talent for making decent jams.

*edit. oh i guess the live version IS the album version. my bad.

so i dunno why, but i got home and felt the urge to go for a jog. and then i felt the need to set the nikeplus to 3 miles and aimed for non stop joggery, but you KNOW that didn't happen. i did do one full and then switched on/off for the rest. i can embarrassingly admit to not having exercised since april. so i will regret it tomorrow.

then i had a salad and a malt beverage.

i came to the conclusion this weekend after roughly twenty years of research that all flavors of doritos taste exactly the same. why do they even bother trying? they all taste like a damn corn tortilla. and that taste just overbears any kind of flavor dust you cover it with.

i'm going home for a visit next month so i have to be cute by then.

hahah hello suckers. yeah i know it's been another long month of unblogging. DON'T JUDGE ME! i've been bored i guess. it happens. sorry! real quick here's what's going on.

been watching movies and such on netlix online. and i love it! episode upon episode of red dwarf. one of my most favorite shows. i've also watched 80's cinematic t&a classic "private school" as well as an indie flick called "the motel" among some other random shit. no not pron! but i recommend them all for a date with booze on friday night.

impulse purchased a wacom tablet so i could have one at work and also to use with my laptop. it was on sale at circuit city so why not!? i need to get a carrying case for it... stylish AND artsy fartsy.

went to karaoke this saturday and got to sing at least seven times since NO ONE was there. it was pure pleasure. quick hit list: nasty girl (vanity 6), train in vain (the clash), emotional rescue (rolling stones), tush (zz top), homecoming queen's got a gun (julie brown), miss me blind (culture club), rumors (timex social club). beyond those i can't remember if i did any more. it was like a concert of me!

we are painting the back bedroom a nice poopy brown. it looks so cool when you look into the bathroom with the poopy green and white trim... like a colorblock painting. i need to do some art for our walls. i also need to redesign my room. i need to do a lot of things. also got these great cubby holes from target for the bathroom which allowed me to display some fun stuff and get it off the countertop.

speaking of target i wish the new one would open already! it can't be long now.

i have been sad due to my grandma having troubles and strokes and ugh. but my mom cheers me up with the shenanigans she still manages to pull off. she's a sassy lady.
